You really need to wonder about the government. Just how incompetent has it gotten - there is a shortage of human rabies treatment. In other words, vets and others who normally would receive pre-exposure rabies vaccinations, cannot do so. All vaccine is saved for suspected exposure because of a shortage. It is so obvious that our bureaucracy is broken. Are we willing to do the hard work that is necessary to fix it?
Researchers Find Thousands of Mussels Dead in Lake Huron Wildlife Refuge
A startling discovery. Researchers were surveying the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge in Saginaw county to learn about freshwater mussels. They stumbled upon thousands of dead mussels. There is no indication what killed them. The area is a feeding spot for migratory birds. Mussels, because they filter water, are thought to be good indicators of the health of a water system.
